For my first post of 2012 I decided to start with a winter scene. This is a shot from my archives. I took this in 2008 but never did anything with it. Located in Louisville, Kentucky is a place called Historic Locust Grove. On this day it was snowing like crazy and extremely cold. For a Florida boy who had never seen snow it was an amazing sight to see. The photographer in me said I had to brave the chilly temperature in order to get the pictures I wanted – so I did! This was my one and only time seeing snow and I can’t wait to see it again!
Enjoy the photo and as always comments are appreciated!

You have excellent tonality in this image. I moved to Texas to get away from winter, but snow and ice allow pictures of a type we rarely get to take in our southerly latitudes. I’m glad you had a chance to play on that day in 2008.

Thanks for visiting my blog Steve! I really appreciate the comments. I enjoy reading your blog as well. That’s funny how people move to get away from the snow but when you’ve lived down here all your life you want to go get in it!

Thanks Scott! B&W seemed perfect for this shot as there wasn’t much color going on anyway. I appreciate the visit and the likes on my other posts as well! Thanks again!
