Harrisburg Covered Bridge

In continuation from my last post of the church this is what I was trying to find that day! This bridge is one of only four covered bridges in existence in the state of Tennessee. It is located in the small community of Harrisburg in Sevier County just outside of Sevierville. I had photographed this bridge before but I was never happy with the results. I would have preferred a “sunshiney” day instead of the overcast weather, but that was what I had to work with. I was shooting on the right-hand side of the bridge when a man approached me and said if I wanted to get a better angle I could go behind his house and setup my tripod there. I feel like this was the best angle to capture this after having shot many different directions. I thanked him for his hospitality afterwards (which is one thing I love about the south!) and I was on my way to my next adventure! 🙂

Here is a link to more information about the bridge and it’s amazing history!

    • Thanks so much for the awesome comment Toad! I’m glad you like it. Sometimes all of the elements just fall into place. I was really happy how this one turned out and I definitely wouldn’t have got this shot if wasn’t for his generosity!
